We're home!
Okay, we got home about 4:30 or so. Tim is still pretty out of it. You know how babies toddle around unsteadily when they are first learning to walk? That's Tim. From the garage to our bedroom there are 30 stairs. That was a fun trip considering he outweighs me by 70 pounds.
What did we learn? Not much. Yet.
The endoscopy showed that his esophagus is very inflamed and he has acid reflux. But he never has indigestion which is the most common symptom, he has one of the least common, trouble swallowing. They went ahead and stretched his esophagus and he came home with a prescription to help with the inflammation.
The colonoscopy was less enlightening as of today. They took several biopsies and we will know more next week.
Don't ask me what they are testing for, nope, not going there. No sense in a big freak out until we know for sure what is going on.
We got souvenir photos. That's right, photos. Of his endoscopy, or at least that is what I am choosing to believe. The best part is that while the nurse was showing them to me and explaining to me what they were she was actually showing me the wrong patient's photos. When I pointed out the wrong name blatantly on the photos she chuckled and grabbed the correct ones.
I am so sorry, Mr. R. M., I have seen way too much of your insides and I hope to be able to erase the images from my mind sometime soon.
