Bigfoot

This weekend was spent in Snohomish at a soccer tournament. The biggest soccer tournament of the summer to be exact. It was a ton of fun.

The girls played three games starting on Thursday at 9:15 AM. They tied the first, lost the second and won the third. The best part was the camping. We didn't camp but we stayed and bbq'ed with the other '98 team on Friday and then did a pancake breakfast this morning.

Since Bailey didn't want to have to get up at 5 AM she spent the weekend at Nana's house. We have had a house full of soccer player's since Wednesday. I don't mind the girls, but the stinky feet have to go.

After 3 days of 5 AM mornings and friends around the clock the older child has had it...

Okay, we have all had it. Except Bailey...

Soccer Summer

In this house there is never enough soccer. It's go, go, go! Practice Tuesday and Thursday and keeper training on Wednesday. We have had two tournaments so far this summer and have two more to go before school starts on the 1st, don't bother looking at your calendar it's one for the next two weekends and they start on Thursdays.

What do parents who both work do? Holy crap!

If we didn't already have enough going on Taylor was invited to guest play for a local team in a tournament being held 125 miles to the south. We found out a week before the tournament and had a bit of trouble finding a hotel as they were all booked due to the tournament. We lucked out as one of the other girls on Taylor's team was also guest playing and we were able to stay at her grandparents 200 acre CHRISTMAS TREE FARM.

Dream come true people!

I would love to live where this family lives, it is awesome. They have a great house, beautiful property with a great garden that Bailey fell in love with. Sign me up!

Moving right along...

Three days, four games later and the girls are playing in the championship. They did great, they scored twice on a team that had not been scored on all weekend. The game went into overtime and they took 2nd overall. Not too shabby.

Carry On

I went to CA and then I came home...

I hung out with some great friends.

 

I ate a ton of great Mexican food. No seriously, I ate it everyday. Sometimes more than once a day and sometimes at midnight or 3AM when no one was looking.

I put on a ton of costume jewelry and laughed with my mom and aunt. I got to spend time with family I hadn't seen in quite a while.

I spent a day at the happiest place on earth and pissed my kids off, jealousy is so unbecoming.

I lost my camera with great pictures on it, especially the costume jewelry ones. If you happen to find it I am not naked, am wearing a strapless bathing suit top so I just look naked. And drunk.

I missed Tim and my kids, he managed soccer and ballet seamlessly. Thank you for holding down the fort while I was gone.

I buried my grandparents. It wasn't all fun and games. It was fighting and arguing and pettiness.
