Mostly.
We are mostly moved in. As of tonight the last of the bugs seem to be worked out. Cable and internet were installed this morning and a plumber was here for the dishwasher this afternoon. The garage door sensors have been rewired only to discover that in the interim the garage door was wired to a light switch. Don't get me started on that but Tim fixed it, don't ask about that either but it was relatively painless.
Tim and I primed the girls bedrooms weekend before last, it was an experience. I have also decided to never move into another house with border or wallpaper on any wall.
This was Bailey's room, I neglected to take a before picture. The border was a pink and purple swag with lavender walls and the room was originally slated to be Taylor's but...
This was while I was peeling border from Taylor's new room. She wasn't feeling Buzz. I kinda felt like I was in there for Infinity, and beyond... har.
Did you know that no matter how much you soak border it has a tendency to shred? And leave behind a nasty glue residue? And be gooey and gross and will take you days to peel off and sticks to everything. And it re-texturizes the wall underneath. Gah!
*deep breath*
So, after I peeled and Tim and I primed he had to work. Hmmph. Pete helped me paint. Okay, Pete painted and I did all of the edging and corners and stuff. We knocked out both rooms in about three hours and I do not have pictures for you. Taylor's room is a pale lime green, not as pale as I had hoped. Kind of shocking really, before it had furniture in it every time someone walked in they said whoa. Even a random handyman dude. Bailey's room is, heh, pink. It looks like Hello Kitty yakked on her walls and she loves it.
We moved our furniture and stuff this past Saturday.
Mostly.
It turned out to be one heck of a bang up day. Blood was shed within the first 30 minutes (Pete). Glass was broken (me). Blood was shed, again (Pete). Fools locked themselves out of places (Tim and Pete). An emergency room visit was encouraged (Pete) and declined. Beer was drank (sadly, not me).
Evidently we expect a lot from our helpers. And then we beat them to get them to work.
He got attacked by the treadmill. It doesn't look bad until he turns sideways and you see that he is missing a chunk of flesh.
That's our cover story.
If I told you the real story then the ninjas, pirate and a man in sequins with a purse would be after me.
