Killer!

Taylor and the rest of the Scorpions had their last game on Saturday and their pizza party this evening. The kids had a blast, ate a ton of pizza, wasted a ton of quarters on games and received their trophies from Jimmy. Taylor got her trophy last and I think she was a bit anxious thinking she might have been forgotten.

She needn't have worried.

Jimmy was saving hers for something special. She holds the Killer title for this season. Jimmy said she brought the most tenacity to the team, gave it her all and took some major hits during the season but never once gave up.

I can attest to the major hits this season, I thought she might have had a sprained ankle after one incident but she came away with some major bruises instead. 

I loved her coach this season. This is her 3rd season in soccer and Jimmy has been my favorite coach so far. Taylor loved him, he was great with the kids. He has more patience than I will ever have, especially since he is only 19, well he will be 20 in a few days.

He did drive me nuts as a mom, I wanted to follow him around and pull his skinny jeans up!

Empty Pastures

Ashley and Ethan left for warmer pastures this week. The house has been way too quiet since they left.

No little feet running around my house yelling No Nappy.

No little person asking for his ladies, which sounds very much like boobies and cracks me up every time I hear it.

No big person to eat fried onions with.

No one to fan the smoke alarm when I set it off on a nightly basis.

No coffee cupcakes at 9 AM with cups of coffee as big as our head.

I love when they come to visit but it seems so empty when they go.

April Showers

Everyone knows that April rain showers bring May flowers but what do April snow showers or April hail showers bring?

Giddy-up Mom!

I may have taught Ethan how to smack her ass and say giddy-up...

At some point she is going to pay me back, I think she is keeping a running tab and saving it for when the girls get to be teenagers. I am slightly terrified.

Whiny Walkers

Can you tell that all three of them are thrilled to be there?

What you can't see (or hear) is Ashley standing behind me complaining about the butt muscle she pulled. If it counts for anything, I enjoyed myself and my butt feels okay.

Backseat Rockstars

This one is missing the movie due to Vox/TypePad move. Once Ashley e-mails it to me I will add it back in.

Ashley and I decided to take the kids to Rainforest Cafe for dinner tonight. On the way there we listened to Radio Disney on the satellite radio. Hannah Montana came on singing Rockstar. Ethan had no idea who she was but as you can see he was darn happy to dance along.

The monthly subscription fee is so worth the moment above.

We Heart Joseph

When Ashley decided to come for a visit she let me know that one thing she definitely wanted to do while here is get a good haircut. So I set her up with Joseph. I heart Joseph, he always does a great job.

Whenever he dries curly hair he has you skooch your butt way down in the chair so your hair hangs over the edge of the chair so he can scrunch it as he dries it. Sounds odd but it works.

 

The finished product, doesn't it look great? I think Ashley hearts Joseph too. She is going to have to come visit every 8 weeks so that he can trim it...

Intense Moments

While Ethan was napping Bailey and Ashley discovered their mutual love for the Nintendo DS. I think she might have to buy one for herself at some point, she has become pretty attached to it lately.

Sunday Morning Fun

Ethan with his ladies this morning. Bailey's patience wore thin shortly after this was taken, she decided to curl up next to Ashley instead as she keeps her elbows to herself and doesn't jab them in Bailey's ribs.

Taylor seems to have an endless supply of patience where Ethan is involved. They have been in this position for what seems like hours with no end in sight. I see a future in babysitting for this one, not so sure about Bailey.
