Okay, so I have been neglecting my wife/mom-ly duties of housekeeping. Think mom on strike and that about sums it up. This all goes back to the burn out post from yesterday. Been feeling it for a week or two, don't get me wrong I am not over it. I shall stand on my soapbox as long as I damn well please. But... theclutteredhouseisstartingtogettome! No, my space bar isn't broke (but my mouse is, another post, another time) that is just how I am beginning to feel. So, I decided that I had better pick up. Maybe while Tay does her homework, that way I can supervise without hovering but still get something else accomplished.
First thing I decided to do, put all my
Halloween candy in its
dish instead of it sitting in a Target bag on the floor. Then I had this brilliant idea, tomorrow is Halloween, so there is only a day of that decorating scheme left. And I don't really have a decorating plan for Turkey Day, its all about the food not the decorations. So how about skipping straight to Christmas decorations?? I mean come on, I can put them out while I clean. That is an awesome plan! I might just do it. Tim isn't home to stop me and he doesn't read this anyway. He won't know until it is completely done! Yes, this sounds like the
bestest idea ever.
Oh, wait. If I put the Christmas decorations out this early I will have to dust them between now and the happy day... can you vacuum a fake tree* and stockings? I must investigate.
*Trust me, I hate the fake tree. But after living in HI you learn to avoid bugs, that means you avoid bringing live things into your home. I tried this with the kids, but the neighbors yelled at me.
